With 30 years of experience, more than €500 million raised and more than 50 investments, exits and add-on acquisitions in the past 10 years,, Sofindev is one of the most established and most active independent private equity funds in Belgium. Given our consistent growth and increasing activities in the Netherlands, combined with a recently raised fund of €250m, we are expanding our team in Amsterdam. We are currently looking to hire an investment associate and/or investment manager who can take on a broad set of responsibilities and further promote into a high exposure role.

Our growing, diverse,and experienced team works closely together with our portfolio companies and leverages its strong network and long standing expertise, as to create sustainable value.

We are committed to create sustainable, local, presence in the Netherlands to support our increasing activity in the Netherlands. Out of our current portfolio of 14 investments, 8 companies have a significant presence both in the Netherlands and in Belgium. Joining our Amsterdam team will provide the opportunity to:

• Further develop your transaction and portfolio management skills

As investment associate/manager, you will be an integral part of Sofindev’s investment team and will actively participate in the different steps of the investment cycle:

• Pre-deal market analysis
• Target screening and contacting
• Valuation and due diligence (in collaboration with external parties)
• Coordination of transactions (contacts with banks and legal advisors)
• Post deal follow up of the portfolio companies and work on buy & build models
• Preparation of potential exits

For this role, Sofindev seeks to identify exceptional talent. The most vital distinguishing traits in the profile of the preferred candidate are:

• Outstanding university background
• 3-6 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Corporate M&A, Corporate Finance or Transaction Services
• Intrinsically driven to deliver quality work and to go the extra mile, intellectually curious, strong interpersonal and communication skills, team player and humble
• Passionate about working with entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses
• Self-starting and ability to work independently
• Strong analytical skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English
