About the role: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting internal and external audits. This is a critical role that contributes directly to the financial health and transparency of the organization. This role requires presence in our office from Cluj-Napoca, Calea Turzii, 192.

You have to choose us, if you have:

  • Education: University degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Min. 5 years of of accounting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of English is a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency with computer skills related to Microsoft Office
  • SAP Knowledge is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team player
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Here are your main responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and company bookkeeping activities.
  • Manage a wide range of accounting functions, including: general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, VAT and tax reporting, inventory control, financial reporting, stock management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Process and verify journal entries in accordance with internal procedures, applicable accounting standards, and local legislation.
  • Ensure that all journal entries meet internal control requirements and comply with external audit standards.
  • Perform periodic account reconciliations and ledger closings, ensuring the accuracy of financial data to support informed business decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit mandatory reports such as Intrastat, BNR reports, e-Invoice (e-Factura), SAF-T, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide clear and timely responses to managerial inquiries and clarify accounting or financial matters when needed.
  • Contribute to updating accounting policies and internal control procedures in alignment with regulatory or business changes.
  • Support and contribute to accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including monthly balance sheet reviews. Collaborate with external auditors by preparing and delivering required documentation and explanations during audit processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc support on various internal projects and special requests as required.
