As an Operational Buyer, you will manage international suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, and issue purchase orders based on MRP needs. You will oversee order follow-up, stock balance, and ERP data accuracy while resolving delivery or quality issues. Working closely with the Belgium headquarters team, you will actively drive cost-reduction strategies and ensure a seamless material flow for production. This role is also open for young technical graduates that have an inclination towards a buyer role - an understanding of how your technical background can be used efficiently to perfect a purchasing strategy. Responsibilities: Sourcing and supplier selection: You find and select suppliers for parts and materials. You help build a strong, reliable network of international suppliers across a range of technical product categories. Quotations and negotiation: You request and evaluate quotations, compare prices and terms, and negotiate prices, commercial terms and contracts. Ordering: You turn what MRP and the other departments need into purchase orders in the ERP system, in line with the conditions you negotiated. Order follow-up and delivery: You make sure orders arrive on time and as agreed. If there are delays or problems, you act quickly with the supplier, planning and production to find a solution. Supplier issues and discrepancies: You handle wrong or non-conforming parts, including arranging returns. Stock management: You monitor stock levels and look for the right balance between availability and stock costs. ERP master data: You keep prices, lead times and delivery terms in the ERP system accurate and up to date. Cost and strategy: You help reduce costs and shape the sourcing strategy, working closely with the procurement team at our headquarters in Belgium.
